Jablines, "Le Haut Château"
Locality: Jablines, "Le Haut Château", département Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France region, France
Synonyms: Again one of the more problematic entries in the catalogue of prehistoric flintmines. In the 1995 "Appendix to the Bochum catalogue of prehistoric flint mines in Europe" (Archaeologia Polona 33, 261-533) Jablines was given the number F 50, being the first free number after the last entry F 49 in the 1980 catalogue (Weisgerber et al. (eds.) 1980). In the 3rd edition of the Bochum catalogue (Weisgerber et al. (eds.) 1999), Jablines is listed as F 62. As this last work contains the most comprehensive list of mining sites, this number should be used when referring to Jablines
FlintSource samples 293 and 294.
